Pacers set to take interim tag off Vogel by The Sports Network

The Indiana Pacers have called a press conference for Wednesday morning, at which time they are expected to take the interim tag off Frank Vogel.

President of basketball operations Larry Bird and Vogel will address the media at 11 a.m. local time.

Vogel took over coaching duties for Jim O’Brien after the team started 17-27 last season. The Pacers went 20-18 under Vogel, finishing at 37-45 and making the playoffs as an eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. They were knocked out in the first round by the top-seeded Chicago Bulls in five games.
