Odds to Win the World Series as of 8/11/11 by Joe D’Amico

Hello sports fans, we are just about 75% done with this MLB season. As we come down the stretch, it seems as though all 6 divisions have 2 teams that are running away with them.
The AL West shows Texas and Los Angeles just 1 1/2 games apart, with Oakland and Seattle playing .400 baseball. The AL Central is looking like it is between Detroit and Cleveland. Chicago is not far behind but inconsistent play has put them under .500. Minnesota and Kansas City are just waiting for September to arrive. The AL East is a fight between Boston and New York. Tampa Bay and Toronto are both above .500, but have dropped way behind the division’s top 2 clubs. And Baltimore is laughable with the worst record in the AL. The NL West is a race between Arizona and San Francisco, as the squads are only a 1/2 game apart. Colorado had their moments but seem to have given up. Los Angeles and San Diego are drowning. Both were teams with high-hopes in the pre-season but fell way short this year. The NL Central is between Milwaukee and St. Louis, while you couldn’t field a solid team if you could combine Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Houston. The NL West is certainly between Philadelphia and their stellar pitching staff and Atlanta. New York, Washington, and Florida are done.
Here are the opening and current odds to win it all;
