Astros’ Lee day-to-day by The Sports Network

Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) – The Houston Astros provided an update on the status of left fielder Carlos Lee on Monday, one day after he was involved in a violent collision with shortstop Angel Sanchez.

Lee sustained a contusion of his left rib cage after colliding with Sanchez while both were sliding to catch a fly ball in shallow left field in the seventh inning of Sunday’s 5-0 home win over Milwaukee.

Lee, who is considered day-to-day, is batting .207 with three home runs and 18 RBI this season.
