41 early-entry candidates withdraw from NBA Draft by The Sports Network

Missouri starters Laurence Bowers and Kim English were among 41 early-entry candidates who withdrew their names from the NBA Draft, the league said Tuesday.

As juniors, Bowers averaged 11.6 points and 6.1 rebounds and English averaged 10.0 points for the Tigers last season.

They announced plans to enter the draft in April without hiring agents and had until May 8 to withdraw their names.

Among the other names on the list released by the NBA were Pittsburgh’s Ashton Gibbs, Coastal Carolina’s Desmond Holloway, UC-Santa Barbara’s Orlando Johnson and Kentucky’s Terrence Jones.

Jones had declared for the draft along with teammates DeAndre Liggins and Brandon Knight, who both kept their names in the draft.
