Warriors’ Curry has successful surgery by The Sports Network

 Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry underwent successful surgery on his right ankle Wednesday.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Bob Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Curry missed eight games last season due to multiple sprains of the ankle and is expected to be ready for training camp in the fall.

The 23-year-old Curry played in 74 games during the 2010-11 season for the Warriors, averaging 18.6 points, 5.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds.
